It's just a half hour to Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway for stunning vistas, hiking trails and cave tours. Visit Monticello, Ash Lawn-Highland (home of James Monroe) or Michie Tavern. Tour UVA campus or Walton's Mountain Museum. Try tubing and rafting on the James River, sip some wine at a local vineyard, go apple picking with the family at Carter's Mountain Orchard or enjoy a night out at one of downtown Charlottesville’s many excellent restaurants. Back at the KOA, enjoy the pool, beaver pond, sports field, and game room, or just sit back and relax and listen to the birds sing in our natural wooded setting.
