Welcome to the Bottrel General Store, Alberta's oldest continually run general store.
We have 22 RV and Tent sites available for use all-year round.
Sites are in a secluded deciduous forest, and next to Dogpound Creek which is popular for fly fishing.
Nightly rates are as follows:
Day use - $10 (for fishing in Dogpound Creek)
Tent Camping - $25
RV Camping - $35
Directions20 mintues North of Cochrane, AB along Hwy 22. Follow signs for Bottrel.
RèglesFor your convenience and that of your neighbours please observer uphold the following rules and regulations:
• Pets welcome. You need to clean / pick up after them. Always have them on a leash. Never let them chase wildlife. Do not leave pets unattended.
• A fishing license is required for on-site fishing. Catch and release only
• Speed limit is 10 km. This is strictly enforced.
• Do not park on green space near the portable toilets and or the playground green space
• Alcohol is to be confined to your site only. Oduor from smoking materials will be consumed in a manner as not to offend or deter from the enjoyment of the campground by other guests. Management will respond to all complaints in a timely and respectful manner
• This is a family orientated campground so Quiet hour is from 10pm to 9am. Playground must be vacated by 10pm. Parents are responsible for the care and conduct of their children
• No generators from 10:00pm to 9:00am. Generators should be used sparingly throughout the day so other campers can enjoy the sounds of nature.
• Check-in time is 2:00pm unless otherwise arranged
• Check-out time is 11am unless otherwise arranged
• Please report any issues immediately to the person at the General Store (403 932-5423) or RCMP if an emergency
• Please put all garbage and or refundable in the corresponding bins provided on-site. Do not use fire pits as a garbage receptacle.
• Foul language, excessive noise or behaviour is not acceptable and will lead to expulsion
• Fires are limited to the fire pits at your site and must be extinguished before retiring. Only clean dry wood is permitted to be burned and may be purchased at the Bottrel General Store. Please do not use fire pit as a garbage receptacle.
• Gates close at 11pm and re-open at 5am.
• All visiting guests must leave at 11pm
• Any damages to the facilities will be the responsibility of the registered guest and charges will be made accordingly to the credit card on file.
• One vehicle per site is included with your rate. Extra vehicles must be parked in designated visitor parking area and not in an empty site or on the road.
• Bottrel General Store and Campground does not accept responsibility or liability for personal injury or loss of personal property. All facilities are used at your own risk.
• Your stay acknowledges your agreement to our rules and regulations. Failure to comply with these rules and regulations may result in additional fees. Management reserves the right to terminate your stay at any time for violations to our rules and regulations. Offenders will be asked to leave the premises in a timely manner.
• Payment is due upon arrival. A valid credit card must be on file for all reservations.
